  3. Rhythmbox does not see devices, be it audio CDs or iPods, unless they 
  4. are mounted by gvfs.  If you are not running nautilus, you need to mount 
  5. them with gvfs-mount.

  10. You can choose your preferred output sink by using gnome-sound-properties (in
  11. the gnome-control-center package), or by editing the GConf key:

  19. The avahi-daemon dependency is not absolute, but is necessary for music
  20. sharing.  Please install avahi-daemon to share music.

  22. To be useful, avahi-daemon listens on the network by default.  This introduces
  23. a security risk, you might want to configure avahi-daemon or stop it to avoid
  24. listening in exposed areas.

  34. If you happen to have problems with sound output or decoding, such as a file
  35. that can not be played, or a crappy sound, please check whether you can
  36. reproduce the problem with GStreamer.  The following command reproduces the
  37. behavior of Rhythmbox calling GStreamer:
  38.     gst-launch playbin uri=file:///path/to/my/musicfile.ogg

  40. The upstream BTS is at <http://bugzilla.gnome.org/>, and there's no
  41. synchronization mechanism between the Debian and the GNOME BTS, so you can
  42. expect more information on a particular bug not related to Debian in the
  43. upstream BTS.  It is always ok to report a bug in the Debian BTS, this
  44. will help other Debian users, but the upstream BTS might give you clues
  45. on a particular bug you're experiencing, a quick workaround, or even tell you
  46. it's fixed!  ;)
